LRS CiS – Custom 3-D Printed TTC TiTruss Fusion Cage

We recently collaborated with Dr. M. Workman (Mediclinic Constantiaberg) on an ankle fusion case for a patient with a compromised talus.

Using the patient’s CT scan, we designed a custom TiTruss cage to make a solid TTC fusion construct viable. The implant was 3D printed in Ti6Al4V and designed to accommodate a screw for fixation and compression. The cage was packed with bone graft, and its rough trussed surface was tailored to encourage strong osseointegration.

It’s rewarding to see how advanced design and manufacturing technologies can be applied to create personalised implant solutions, and we look forward to continuing to support patients and surgeons with these innovations.
